All About Brett Wiscons...

Chicago-born, Indiana-based Brett Wiscons has been perfecting his craft for nearly 30 years. He’s a singer-songwriter, novelist, and proud “girl dad” who meditates daily, rides his bike, and hasn’t missed an Italian language lesson in over three-and-a-half years. A storyteller at heart, Brett channels his life experiences into every song and novel he creates.

Praised by Take Effect Magazine for crafting music reminiscent of Andy Grammer, Edwin McCain, Hootie & the Blowfish, and Gavin DeGraw, Brett’s authentic and vulnerable sound has garnered fans across generations.

Brett first picked up a microphone in 1995 with his childhood band The Owls and has since performed over 3,500 live shows. From farmers markets to sold-out headline performances, he’s shared stages with iconic acts like The Beach Boys, Night Ranger, and John Stamos and played The Warped Tour alongside Katy Perry. He even recorded an album with 2x GRAMMY winner Mark Bryan of Hootie & the Blowfish.

Beyond music, Brett has authored six novels in the Bear Whitman detective series and is currently working on the seventh, with aspirations for screen adaptation. His releases include LATE BLOOMER (2022) and multiple singles across 2023-2024, including the fan-favorite “Son of a Beach.” Brett’s upcoming album, The Music That Made Me, is a curated collection of cover songs paying homage to the artists who shaped him as a songwriter and performer. His most recent release, “You Got It”, offers a modern take on the Roy Orbison classic.

With nationwide gigs already underway in 2026 and a new full-length tribute album on the horizon, Brett shows no signs of slowing down.

In addition to his solo work, Brett also leads New York State Of Mind (The Billy Joel Story), a Billy Joel tribute band celebrating the legacy and storytelling of one of the most iconic songwriters.

At heart, Brett Wiscons is proof that grit, passion, and perseverance, honed over decades, can turn dreams into reality.
